Cheryl's story

I started pole in 2017, age 49, with the daughter of a friend because at the time I was looking to do lyra but couldn't find classes.

Outside of pole I have been weight training for 25 years, I was also mountain climbing and hiking with my dad until he recently passed away.

From 2017 to 2020, I pole trained once a week since joining Leviosa, I train twice a week (plus stretch).

Despite years of gym training I've never come across a more supportive and empowering group than at Leviosa.

My favourite moves are poisson and a good shouldermount, both good transitional moves. Most hated is suicide spin, my knees don't like it. Nemesis moves Ayesha handspring and Ballerina.

Anyone playing with the idea of joining.  It may or may not be for you, but you won't know unless you try.  However, it is addictive, it's empowering, it's confidence building and every one develops at their own pace without judgement. We all have individual strengths and weaknesses. You will never be judged, always applauded for your achievements.
